You all know, I love an all-inclusive once in a while. Yes, some can be a little cheesy, but trust me when I say that others can be absolutely paradise!  The first one I went to was in Cancun, VERY cheap, and lots of fun…It was the Oasis.  More than likely I would be too snobby for it nowadays, but it got me started, so to speak.

The second All Inclusive I visited ever was Half Moon in Jamaica. Set on a stunning and endless beach in Montego Bay, it is absolutely 5 Star…all the way….Luxurious and Refined in that charming Colonial style which is everywhere in Jamaica. I went with an ex  on his company trip. His mom owned the company and spared no expense. She and I had very similar taste and I still owe many of my favorite first experiences with hotels and fine dining to her. Too bad her son was such a dud. 😉 In spite of this, I fell in Love with Half Moon on that trip.

Half moon is a reference to the 2 mile crescent shaped beach that this huge property sits on. This hotel is set up in many low buildings which are more like cottages. I love this set up for a beach vacation because it makes it feel much more intimate.

It has been 10 years since I visited Half Moon, and I always wanted to go back. Finally I have plans to! The weather in Jamaica is always perfect and if it rains a little, that certainly doesn’t bother me. I will gladly read my book on the patio of my gorgeous suite and wait for it to pass. 🙂

Did I mention that they have horses there?!? Their own stables! Will my dream of riding a horse on the beach and in the ocean finally come true? I believe it will 🙂
